Spiritual Direction

Take the next step in your faith journey

Spiritual direction — or mentoring — has been part of the Christian tradition for centuries. It’s part of the discipling model. As a certified Spiritual Director; I’d be happy to help you with your spiritual journey, especially your prayer life and connection with God. My goal is to help you get to a place in your faith journey that you could never reach alone!

Individual Direction

Spiritual direction is a once-a-month meeting with a trained listener who will accompany you on your spiritual journey, helping you to notice God’s presence and activity, as well as how you are reacting and responding. Hospitable, confidential, and grounded in biblical truth, spiritual direction is a ministry that helps you grow in prayer and live out your calling as a follower of Christ.

Why do people seek out a spiritual director?

While it’s unique to each person, it’s to deepen their sense or experience of God in their lives; to deepen and grow in their prayer life, which many people struggle with. I would say that “director” really is a misnomer, because God is the Director and I am simply one who companions. There is a tradition of using the word “director”, but that confuses people.

Truly God is the Director, and I help the seeker in uncovering and discovering the direction of God in that person’s life. This enables the directee to see, and receive God’s voice, God’s nudging, and God’s acting, in such a way that it elicits a natural and genuine response.
